One of the worst experiences that you may experience when you held a party inside your home is the fact that there might be cockroaches or fleas that will appear in your dining area. Although you can easily get rid of these pests by using pesticides, the chemicals coming from the pesticides contain products that are unhealthy especially to your children. Since this is alarming to your family’s health, most of us want to know the methods that are not harmful to living things but can still prevent pests.
During summer, you cannot deny the fact that ants are just everywhere. Ants are visible especially on your decks or tables and even your home cabinets. One way to prevent the ants from entering your home is to make sure you have located their entrance. If you already found the spot, the next thing to do is to spread cayenne peppers, coffee grounds or citrus oil to the area to serve as your barrier. This will prevent the ants from crossing the items. But if they are already in your home, your other option to prevent them from spreading is to place garlic cloves, spearmint leaves o cucumber peels on the areas where they are found. The reason of this is that these items are actually known for being ant’s repellant. Once you have control over the ants inside your home, you can now focus on the outdoor infestations. To manage the outdoor infestation, ant hills’ entrance must be sprinkled with cornmeal so that the ants will eat them and then they will die after a week because they cannot actually digest the cornmeal.
Another pest that can be found in your home and considered to be a repulsive pest is the cockroach and this pest should also have natural pest control remedy. One way to repel cockroaches is by placing a catnip to the area where you find cockroaches most frequently. If you see an existing population and you want to terminate them, all you need to do is to soak a piece of bread with beet and keep it exposed to cockroaches since they cannot digest beer and they will die eventually. You can also spray the cockroach with soapy water because soapy water is able to break the exoskeleton of the cockroach causing it to die within minutes.
There is also natural pest control for mosquitoes. To prevent mosquitoes, remove their preferred habitat such as standing water in yards or in a basin. Another form of mosquito repellant is applying to your skin that solution with at least thirty percent eucalyptus because this will prevent mosquitoes from biting.
